Default How to play AK

Id like to hear how people play AK when there in the small blind, Under the gun, and on he button. When youd raise and how youd play on the flop with a missed flop. Assume these hands are multi way and your the only raiser if you do.

Thanks

In a soft game, I raise in all three spots and check the flop if I miss.

In a tough game, I mix it up more... I'd consider limp-reraising AKs from UTG, and I suppose I might consider limping with AKo from the button as a variance play. I'd strongly consider limping from the SB with AKo. I would never plan not to raise with AKs, though.

You compare the price the pot is giving you to your chances of improving. Then you think about how likely you are to win when you hit, your backdoor draws, your implied odds, etc. and make your best decision.
