Fat Tire is the nectar of the Gods. And it is not even close.

Fat Tire is good. Most serious beer snobs would say it's not nearly the best beer made by New Belgium. I suggest you try some of their other beers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately, I live in FL and cannot get any of their beers.

I am confused. Could you not say ; "What is your favorite Micro Brew and express a more accurate title?

It looks like he wanted to include imports. I'd consider Guinness, Dos Equis and the like macros, but he specifically allowed imports.

Any of Stone's brews are incredible.

Weihenstephaner's hefeweizen (weizen) is the bet I've managed to find in the states (I lived in southern Germany for a while). Still not as good as real, bavarian weizen, but pretty good.

Fat Tire is decent, but I agree that they have much better beers. The Blue Paddle Pils and their Trippel are both very good.

Anything from the Widmer brothers. Radio commercials don't count.

Widmer brothers is from the oregon area right? What do you think of Deuschtes (sp) beers? I used to think black butte porter was the nuts during my college days .

I wondered about that, but I don't think so. I really liked Kilkenny(sp?) beer. That stuff is yummy.

Once you get outside of PA or NJ, it can get hard to find.

Guinness(as long as it's in Ireland...not in US),

[/ QUOTE ]

That really isn't true anymore in my opinion. I think it was because Guiness uses nitrogen rather than co2 for carbonation, but so many US bars with guiness have nitrogen for the taps now. I specifically drank only guiness before going to ireland to see if there really was a difference, and noticed none (~2 years ago)

Pilsner Urquell is very good - I just discovered this myself. My girlfriend grabbed it for me one day when she was in the liqour store, because I told her I like Blue, which is a pilsner... she's a good woman.

My current favourite - Sleeman Original Draught. Fantastic.

[/ QUOTE ]spelling is close enough, yeah Black Butte Porter is good. Bridgeport, Widmer, Deschutes, and Rogue all make excellent micro's down here. Plus there is Henry's as well
