El D,

This "TIGHT AGGRESSIVE" strategy you advocate intrigues me. Could you please explain?

Regards,

BDD

I do not wish to put words in El Diablo's mouth but I had a thread bookmarked that helped me learn the TIGHT and AGGRESSIVE strategies. I hope it helps you like it has helped me:

NLfool,

Were you serious about not splitting Aces?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes. I've never read a book and I'm in the hole, like to the tune of probably 30k+ just between party and paradise. So like I said I wouldn't listen to me.

No empirical evidence but with an 8 showing his chances of having a made hand is about 50/50 A,K,Q,J,T,9 a 2,3 or 4 isn't exactly bad for the dealer either. But the main drawback as I've experienced is you only get 1 card and seriously the times I've split AA I've never hit a T (so I don't even know if they pay you 1 1/2 )

NL,

You are taking a slightly -EV game and converting it into a super -EV game for yourself.

Edited to add: I can only imagine all the other mistakes you probably make.

like I said I suck. I've seen my friend split it like 3 or 4 times but that was against a 6. He was positive 50k and change splitting all the time and doubling down on the weirdest sh1t (weird to me, probably proper strategy, I don't know) at BJ but course blew that in a couple days.
