Default Merging parts of databases in PT

Hello,

I have 3 DB's with many hands from various levels. I would like to extract all 5/10 and 10/20 hands from them and merge them into one DB. How can I do it ?

Thanks for help

I think the only way to do this is to export the hands you are interested in and then import the exported data again, into a new database.

about the export/import thing

I exported about 6000 hands and tried to reimport and 30 hours later I finally killed it. I think I exported in 300 hand blocks. Is it better to export huge files, anyone know?

The smaller the files, the better. It's a pain in the butt, but I find that exporting 100 hands per file, about 25 files at a time works well. The pain is that you constantly have to redirect the import to wherever you have stored the next chunk of 25 files.

[/ QUOTE ]Why can't you just export everything into one folder and then use the AutoImport tool to import them?

It seems that if you try to import a large number of hands in one shot, PT becomes INCREDIBLY SLOOOOOOOWWWWW!

I've found that it's best to do smaller batches with a compress/vacuum in between them. It's a painfull process but it does work!

G'luck all,
