im convinced this is a mandatory river fold and that i terribly misplayed the turn

After thinking about it some more I'm not sure the turn play is incorrect, but since he min-raised it's certainly possible.

I think you should have re-re raised the flop and not let it have gotten that far.

completely agree... you played the 66 hoping to hit a set which you did. push here and take it down or get called by AK if he really is a NIT. although you would have lost this particular hand if he called, ill take that bad beat anyday... 97% or something like that.

You didn't misplay any part of this.

I think I would push the river in case of random donkey factor. 3.5:1 pot odds.

I don't think the donkey factor is high enough for pushing this river.

If Hero is planning on calling anyway, pushing is better than checking, because there's about a zero chance opponent is going to bluff with a worse hand, and there is some chance villain will call with a worse hand.

This is true, but I think you can easily check-fold here. I don't even think it's remotely weak-tight.

I don't play 6 max but I dont think you can fold this
You basically pot commited him on the turn which is probably better than going all in where he might fold
I think you have to call and I would have bet myself on the river
