Sandwich difference maker: oregano
I've noticed a sandwich can only be great if it has oregano on it, yet, I will often forget to specify adding it to a sub at places such as Subway or Erb's and Gerbs (I don't even think they have it). Everyone else agree a sandwich without oregano is assured to be at best, only good?

I wouldn't put oregano in a grilled cheese, but for italian coldcut type sandwiches, oregano is excellent. |

That's interesting, I've never, ever considered putting oregano on a sandwich... probably because I don't care for it all that much (other than in Italian sauces).
Now mayonaise... that's another story - a sandwich without it - lots of it... is like sex without a big happy ending. |

Haven't tried it. During the day I'm living off 6 sandwichs of tomato & cheese, with either a ham/tuna or ham/chicken combo. Sometimes with salami. Topped of with salt'n pepper.
Tastes good, easy to make, and mixed with scrambled eggs in the morning gives a really good carb/protein/fat ratio. |
