Default Horse betting rebate shops

I have developed a horse racing system that looks to be slightly +EV. It's probably around break-even in real life. It should be profitable after a rebate.

My questions:

1) What is the best rebate shop?

2) What reputable shop offers the highest rebates? This New York Times article talks about a $24 million/year player getting a 10% rebate. What's a realistic rebate for those of us who are betting a wee bit less than $2 million a month?

3) Do rebate shops that offer full racetrack payouts send their bets to the parimutuel pool or do they book it themselves? That is, if I find a juicy opportunity and bet $1,000 to win on a race that has only $3,200 in the track win pool, am I going to crush the odds myself?

4) What should I be looking for in a racebook?

Thanks in advance for all replies.

1. I really hate to send posters to other forums--I've never done it before--but this is really a question for MajorWager

2. see Q1.

3. I have heard that if you're a loser, they book it, but if you start winning, they look to lay it off. That layoff may or may not make it into the pool.

4. If it were me, I'd look for trustworthiness first, rebate second. I again suggest the above link.

So you're saying I shouldn't book my horse racing bets with Dutch Boyd?

As for your answers, thank you, sir.
