Default First Hand Post

This is the first time I've ever folded Aces on the flop, and I wanted your opinions. Table is semi-tight.

Absolute Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, Hero raises, UTG calls, CO calls, SB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, CO 3-bets, SB folds, Hero folds, UTG calls.

Turn: (7.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, CO bets, UTG calls.

River: (9.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, CO bets, UTG folds.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

I don't think it's that bad of a fold. You've got tremendous reverse implied odds here -- if your hand is best now. Of course if the flop raiser/3-bettor are reckless things change.

I hate laying down A's here but, unless you know CO is a LAG, this laydown on the flop seems okay. His bet represents having a small flush. Too bad one of those A's wasn't the diamond.

At least against a possible 2 pair you could pair the board for A's up but you'd need runner-runner to fill up.

Ok, I'll stick my neck out here.

If ever there was a good time to fold an overpair of aces on the flop in limit HE, this is it. Highly coordinated board, PF limpers going nuts, and you are getting (at best) 3:15 on the flop. Reverse implied odds make it much worse, and I doubt we're good here 1:2.

Um, I'll fold.

*Grunch*
I think you played it well.
I'd probably fire one off at this flop as well but with it 2 back I'm dropping it. This flop is so ugly and unfortunately you have no part of it.

As a side note does anyone check/fold this flop?

grunching

I fold this flop, too. since there is no way to show this down cheap and there is a lot of aggression on the flop I think we are behind a flush by UTG or CO or both too often to pay (at least) 2 additional Big Bets to show this down. Not to mention that a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on turn or river would nearly certainly sink us.

Thanks guys, I thought it was a decent fold.
I was pretty damn hot when CO flashed his cards at the end though:

CO has 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (high card, king).

Haha, that sucks.

Results don't matter. Don't let results make you play poorly.
