Default SNG ROI?

Is the ROI calculation for SNGs: total payouts divided by total buy-ins invested? Also, am I correct that a 30% ROI is the target ROI and a sign that it is appropriate to play for higher stakes?

ROI = profit / total spent on entries

30% is fine at any level, 40-50% is sustainable at the $5.50 level, 10% is barely sustainably by the best players at the highest levels. If you do move up, expect at least a slight drop (which may or may not be countered by an increased $/hour rate).
