The main reasons why I don't have a Poker Pal that's as serious as I am, is there's only a casino about a 1/2hr away and they only have NLHE on sundays and only have two tables!

Another thing is I'm disabled and right now I need someone to give me a ride, until I can buy my own car with modifications so I can drive myself. (that's going to be awhile) So I'm stuck in a pretty bad situation, because I only can play homegames and bar games when one of my friends want to play and they also have loot, (my friends are usually broke) so right now online is where I play mostly now.

The people that I do know have a pretty tight schedule because of their work hours and such. So basically I'm trying to find the best way to cope with my situation right now. Again any feedback is welcome.

I find the poker blogs are nice to fill that desire for discourse. gamblingblues.com and double A's are my main reads.
If anyone wants to shoo the [censored] about Poker on AIM, I am always on, always playing poker and always up for chatting, IM me at: thelawof5s
I play all the games, and most of the limits up to occassinal 5/10 NL. Ive been an living off the internet for about 18 months.

Hey Johnny . . .I find myself in that same situation. My poker buddy's are too full of themselves to realize they lose money at the game. Also they do not like to discuss better plays after a session at a casino, because of course they played optimally but just once again got screwed. It's funny how every time we run our 4 way tourney I win more than half the games. Regardless i would like to talk poker w/ someone. What is your aim screen name?

My dad plays. Which helps me a lot....although he wont f'ckn listen to me when I tell him Q9 is not a good hand. An understanding gf/ wife is really important in my opinion.

yeh I live the single life so I don't really have to deal with that situation.

Sounds like I should start a AIM poker chat room once a week or something on this topic
