Translating Sit n Go Success to Cash Games

Are you winning a lot of small pots and losing the majority of the big pots at cash games? If so, it's been explained to me that you have to be more patient when playing a NLHE cash game.

For what it is worth, I'm thinking about trying some limit hold em cash games because I think you can profitably see more flops at a limit game. Does this sound correct or am I clueless again?
