I think this is probably a check and fold board unless improving. Curious as to your lines...

Its a very tough spot NOT to lose a lot of money. You re-raised from the blinds and got reraised, then opponent CHECKS IN POSISTION on the flop.

So you ran into a higher set, that sucks, but the evidence was there. Don't get me wrong I probably lose all my $$$ here too, because I am greedy and prob overlook all the same, and just decide he has AK or something.

The main thing I would do differently is to bet the flop.

What is your image BTW and oppponents? If you aren't playing super tight KK might call you, AK will at least call. I think betting the flop here will earn you more $$$ in the long run.

Agreed -- I probably lose my stack also, but does he call your turn bet with KK? I don't think so...checking the flop after a huge reraise preflop smells like top set to me. I just see it so many times it's pretty obvious -- still not going to fold the QQQ of course

Unless he is a maniac, just fold it preflop.

One thing about this that I noticed is that unless you know this player is crazy or he thinks you're crazy, that preflop reraise is 95% AA or KK online. Take it from there and the hand should play itself...

As soon as any money goes in postflop - you're sunk unless there's some small percentage player made a 3-bet w/ AK (VERY UNLIKELY).

I really think I would have to fold the extra 57. That raise screams YOUR BEAT. Then again, I would do just like everyone else in the heat of the moment. I just say that since I can think about it while I pretend to work.

Default my thoughts at the time

1. The reraise screamed AA, (possibly KK.) Horrible on his part, but whatever, now I know what he has.

2. I have (implied+pot) odds to flop a set and stack him, so I call.

3. I really think preflop is okay, but cannot see anything but ck and fold, possibly ck and call being okay too.

4. My image was fairly tight, but I had only played an orbit or 2. Nothing about villain struck me either way, and I had no notes on him.

Keep the comments coming, thanks.

I would've shut down after he smooth called the turn. He's not calling that bet on that board with KK and he bets the flop with AK.
