Well, since your questions are in the present tense, there is only one reasonable answer... and it isn't close.

Had you posed the question in the past tense (Which Party Was [or Has Been] More Practical), I'd have to think about it for a while.

Both parties seem to believe in bloated government, legislating personal beliefs, and the exclusion of all ideals but their own. I think the appropriate answer for both questions is, "Neither."
