Default Mandalay Bay Poker Room

Will be there Thursday through Sunday. How is the play in the Poker Room? I was there a year ago and the 4/8 game was fishy. Is the fishing still good there or should I plan to head over to MGM? If anyone else is there just give me a sup bro.

When I was there, the waitresses were pretty hot. They have to shave to wear those costumes.

If its still fishy there, I'll be sitting in it. I'm there wed-sat.

I get in Thursday night. I'll be the guy who uses the fake gold nugget as a card protector. Just give me an All County 95 salute

I stay at MB every time I'm out there and have played a few 4-8 hands, these are my observations:

1. The room is small, so you can't look for good tables - there just isn't a large selection.

2. As with any casino, daytime during the week is full of regular, retired rocks. Tough to make big $$$ off of this crowd.

3. Late night when the youngsters strike out in the clubs and move to the poker tables is your best best bet. Last time I was there I basically sat down into a bachelor party where 4 players had never played other than home games and had no problem dropping $200 - 300 each to "learn" as it was cheaper than the BJ tables.

4. I'm not a big fan of the mini-blind structure (1-2) everyone wants to see the flop for $2. "Small-blind specials" are not uncommon as almost anyone will play any 2 cards for an extra $1.

5. I will also check of the MGM room and the other "new" rooms when I'm there in late September.

This actually benefits the better players.

I'm not sure how the blinds are $1-$2 at the $4-$8 game... can somebody explain?

I keep a marble in front of me when I play. But if I happen to "misplace" it, make sure to value bet me wherever you can.

How does more people seeing the flop for half price benefit the better players?
