Default 55 River raise?

Hi,

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 2 folds, MP1 calls, 1 fold, Hero calls, CO calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets, CO folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG folds, MP1 calls.

Turn: (4 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero checks.

River: (4 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
MP1 bets, Hero raises, MP1 3-bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10 BB

I have several questions about this play.
1. Flop bet - was it standart to bet second pair when all show their passive nature and to make one guy left to fold?
2. Necessarily bet?
3. Was river raise right?
4. Cap?

What do you think?

River is a sticky situation. mormally i would cap, but he woke up on the river so i doubt it is just 2 pair or he would of bet the turn if he allready had one pair, proboly has the straight. I like the river raise then call.

I would probably bet the flop too. The issue, I believe, is that the pot is so small that a free card does not hurt you as much, even though one will almost certainly lose you the pot. Depending on the table I think it's alright.

One correction: 2. Turn necessarily bet?

Looks like MP1 was trying to slowplay his hand. I cap river.

so you are sure he's 3betting 22,44,KQ,K5 over 2/3rds the time

check the flop, its 6handed you won't pick it up, your hand is very marginal and unlikely to either a. improve to a set/straight or b. be the best hand at showdown UI

def. don't cap this river
