Default Lost with a straight flush

First of all, we are not bitter.

NL Hold'em, early in a Ferrari Qualifier tournament on Partypoker, $25/50, six players.

We called in fourth position with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB, CANALCHASER, called.
BB, DinkStroda, checks.

The flop came: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
CANALCHASER checks
DinkStroda checks
We check

Turn came: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
CANALCHASER checks
DinkStroda bets 50
We call 50
CANALCHASER folds

Dealing River 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
DinkStroda bets 300
We go all-In 460
DinkStroda calls 160

DinkStroda shows A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

DinkStroda wins with a straight flush, seven high.
We lose with a straight flush, six high.

Could we have avoided this by playing more aggressively after the flop/turn, or were we just unlucky? The reason we only called his bet on the turn was the we had the flush, ace high, and hoped he would get a lower flush.

And again, we are not bitter.

HI! THIS IS A BAD BEAT POST. PEOPLE HAVE TWO REACTIONS TO A BAD BEAT POST.

1. THEY DON'T CARE.

2. THEY ARE GLAD IT HAPPENED TO YOU.

THIS FORUM IS NOT A PLACE TO FIND SYMPATHY. PERHAPS "WE" CAN CRY ON EACH OTHERS' SHOULDERS AND KEEP THE CLUTTER OUT OF THIS FORUM.

THANK YOU! COME AGAIN!

He comes close to an exception because of his SPECIALNESS, but the use of WE (Implying multiple people playing one hand) and the fact that it is still a bad beat posts.

No one wants to read it. We (And by we, I dont mean multiple people playing the same hand) are only happy it happened to you (By YOU, we mean the multiple people who evidentally are playing your hand) instead of us.
