Fair enough. Actually, I figured as much about why you posted, but your wording wasn't clear which led to most of the posts in this thread, including mine, of course. But to comment about your question, it is very likely that since the political culture there is so different from that of the US, especially Republicans in the US, that it is possible that both groups are effectively speaking in foreign tongues on political questions and that discourse on the topic would be difficult.
