2 different 99 hands, lvl 1 PP...what should I do?
I think I'm likely ahead in both..but is it silly to get caught up in this in lvl 1? I don't have reads yet..the blinds are small...I find myself folding in these situations...what should I be doing?

Re: 2 different 99 hands, lvl 1 PP...what should I do?
The first one is tough. I'll leave that to someone else.
I'd probably push the second one (although it's close, and I can see why someone would fold). It's tough cuz there's a flush draw, a straight possibility, a possibility that the original raiser (or someone else for that matter) has an overpair to your 9s, and 2 pair if someone played 87s or something. However, I think that you get shown A8 (or some other crap) too often to fold this. Will |

Re: 2 different 99 hands, lvl 1 PP...what should I do?
I can't see folding to a lead-out on the first hand. Are you playing 99 purely for set value? Are you automatically giving villain credit for an 8? Second hand is tough. Without reads I might get scared off by the strange action (bet, minraise). I might just as soon put in a 2nd raise to find out where I am, but I don't think I'm looking to commit that many (500?) chips with this hand.

Well, I think if I'm going to continue with the hand..i pretty much have to push with the action in both hands. I don't think he has an 8...but am I willing to put all my chips at risk in lvl 1 to prove it...to see 2 overcards? To see a bigger pair? I don't know.
