If you bet the turn you are calling anything on the river. I like a push here. You are drawing very live (a club might be a clean out) and are ahead of a single ace and king of clubs.

Since he's a bit of a calling station I like a push too. Emil's post basically covers my thinking. Might loose some from a single pair hand but there are many hands he can call with. Even if you happen to fold out weakish hand of his that you could eake out some value on the river the pot's plenty big.

Push all-in.
Don't let him try to make a crazy draw for free.

You are either way ahead or behind, two thoughts

1. Check- Perhaps you will hit one of your 10 outs and let him lead into you on the river. If you do not hit the river you have position.

2. Bet what you would be willing to call on the river. If he is slow playing a big flush he might check to your agression on the river and you can check behind him. Or he could fold and you take the pot from the AQ all-in?

The hand continues like this:

Turn: ($67, sidepot $110) T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($67, sidepot $110) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, Hero...

A very pretty 4 on the river. At the table, I couldn't come to an answer as to what to do on the turn. Finally, I checked it after almost running my time out. Usually I play NL100, so the bet amounts are more than I am used to and I'm probably not comfortable with them as of yet. Plus, if you remember the trip report I recently posted, you'll know I was playing NL25 a few weeks ago. So this is a 7 buy-in pot, with a potential 6 buy-in turn bet. Anyways, now I have to value bet the river. Do I take into account both the side and main pot ($177), and bet a percentage of that? Or do I just take the side pot ($110) and bet a percentage of that? How much should I value bet? I have $163 behind, villian covers.

hmmm.. maybe a 1/2 total pot bet as a blocking/value bet?

.edit oops, you're in position - disregard the blocking part.

i bet 2/3 pot on the turn and call a push. a 4th club, K, 9 on the river and i will kill myself.

he could have anything here. he could have AJ. AQ. TJ. T9. QT. J + club. T + club.

he will call with a lot of these drawing hands on the turn ... and when the board doesnt pair youre in an even more sticky situation on the river. and if you ARE against a made straight/flush, YOU HAVE OUTS
