how many hands does it take for W$WSF, WSD, W$SD to converge?
i just moved up to 2/4 and i'm not on such a hot run. except for WSD, my other 2 stats are a lot lower than usual, and i believe bad cards are a cause for this.
how long does it take for those stats to converge? i realize VPIP and PFR converges rather quickly and you can get a good sample over 5k hands, what about the others? |

you're basically asking "how long is the longrun". I'd give it 200k hands to be accurate enough.

i was afraid of one of these answers
i've read homer's thread, and it's truly amazing how many hands are required for your winrate to converge. |

The thing is... while it probably takes around 200k hands to find out your true winrate; your true winrate at the end of the 200k hands should be higher then your true winrate at the start of the 200k hands since you are learning.

[/ QUOTE ] no, that's not true. for example, after 1000 hands you can get a very accurate read on someone's PFR. probably to the nearest .5. certain stats converge more quickly than others. I think won at showdown converges pretty slowly. after 1000 hand sessions they can range anywhere from high 40s to high 50s depending on how i ran |
