I've flown BA from Phoenix to London several times and they have always served free booze. If you like good beer, ask for London Pride.

really? free alcohol?
ive never traveled internationally before except when i went to mexico but was already drunk and wasnt paying attention

[/ QUOTE ]

On every transatlantic and transpacific flight I have ever been on, alcohol was free. Also, when I flew to Brazil a couple of years ago it was free.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this used to be true moreso than it is now.

I flew to Paris a couple weeks ago (nonstop from Boston on American) and I needed to pay for drinks.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's weird because I fly to France and I never had to pay for alcohol.

[/ QUOTE ]

I find that I freak out enough that either the airline gives me drinks, or the other pasengers.

Until around a year ago, even most of the US airlines offered free booze in coach on all international flights. On United, which I flew most often, we weren't just talking free wine either -- lots of different liquors, and if you asked nicely they would occasionally bring you higher-end stuff (port, etc.) from business class.

Alas, the days of getting blitzed for "free" in coach are gone, at least flying transatlantic on US-based carriers. Most of the non-US carriers (including BA, AFAIK) do still have free booze. Flying transpacific it's different -- Northwest never dropped their free alcohol policy, so United (and probably others) still follows suit (at least, as of a couple months ago).

BA will serve free booze. I thought all airlines gave freebies except for budget airlines.

If you don't want to get cut-off be charming to your stewardess.

that is all
