This fold is Standard, though I wouldn't say I make it 100% of the time. The problem is that miniraises really can mean anything. So default is to fold, except for two considerations:

1) You have position
2) This really could mean anything

I fold here against players who I consider solid. I call against looser players.

very easy fold.

have you considered limping with AQ early in an SNG? Gets you out of these sort of situations, while at the same time giving you a much greater chance of being paid off by AJ when an A falls. I've just started doing it lately on the advice of some of the regulars here, and it's been good for me.

But yeah, easy fold. What hands are you hoping to be up against? If you are up against any PP lower than a Q, they fold once you pair and bet out. Really, you're just hoping to be up against AJ or KQ, and the odds of those hands reraising are pretty slim. Fold it.

Please continue to fold your PPs every time 1 over hits. Kthx.

Seriously, this is close. Against some villians it is correct to fold, against others to call, and against still others to raise (though that is rare).

I hate posts like this. Don't be such an ass, and don't assume I don't know how to play. I don't ever autofold a reasonably high PP when one over hits. But you're not going to get paid off much (maybe one CB from the original raiser).

Get over yourself. What I meant was perfectly clear.

Sorry, it's just that autofolding AQ here is ridiculous. You have position and good immediate pot odds.

Edit: that doesn't mean it's never correct, but it's not a "very easy fold"

Deamondecc, what's the payout structure of the super Sat? Is it first place or nothing? It changes the way you play these things.

At the same time, you're getting involved, early in the tournament, for 1/8th of your stack, with a hand that could very well be dominated, and that you don't really love putting your chips in with unless you hit TPTK or better. I suppose we could figure out the odds of a Q high flop coming down -- I don't know them offhand.

Listen though, I just play 11s and 22s. I'm not an expert. For what it's worth, for me, this is an autofold.

Interestingly, when I played less tables, I would have been more inclined to play this. Now that I 4-table (I can only imagine if I was 8-tabling), I'm less inclined to get mixed up in this sort of a situation where I have to try and make a "read" on a player I've played <10 hands. It's just a bit messy.
