Re: Nano-limit Stars: Take the free card?
[ QUOTE ]
I raised so I could take a free card should I need one. [/ QUOTE ] You need one. 8 doesn't make your straight...it made you 3rd pair. |

Re: Nano-limit Stars: Take the free card?
are people that arent mentioning it seriously advocating raising that flop?
your draw sucks, your on the sucker end of a straight draw without a heart, opening you up to all kind of redraws. eg if a J straightens you any Q scores an OESD, if a 6h comes any heart scores a fd. knocking people out sucks because you have very little chance to win if you pair your 8 or 7 you open yourself up to a 3bet from the flop bettor your in terrible relative position to equity pump, forcing 2 out of 5 players to coldcall 2... not that you likely even have the equity to pump in the first place. |

Re: Nano-limit Stars: Take the free card?
I should have waited for a rainbow flop where my straight was to the nuts before I get fancy with free card raises?
I felt I would most likely see the river with my draw and investing a small bet on the flop could save me a bigger bet to the river. I didn't think the raise was that bad but maybe its a leak I need to address. |
