Paris poker rate?

I'm going to Vegas October 27-30, and I'm looking for poker rates. I called Paris, and asked to be transferred to the poker room. When I asked about a poker rate, the manager (Mike) suggested I call back 9-5 and ask for the Race and Sports Book, and to reserve a room through them.

Not entirely sure what to expect when I call back, if I do, since I'm probably going to just book the Wynn anyway. Has anyone even reserved a room before through a race and sports book?

Also, for the uninitiated, it appears the best time to book a poker rate is 9-5 Pacific time - Wynn and Bellagio both said I couldn't book until the person in charge got in.
