Default Myers Briggs or Keirsey?

I have an armchair interest in psychology, and found the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (or is it Kiersey?) extremely interesting and somewhat insightful.

Basically, your type is either

Extravert or Introvert

iNtuitive or Sensing

Thinking or Feeling

Perceptive or Judging

I am an ENFJ

Any other 2+2ers know their types and be willing to post them? I wonder if there is a dominant type for poker players.

and

Any thoughts on how that relates to your poker game?

Personally, being primarily Extraverted, yet making my living online (still working on finding enough good live games in casino-less Indianapolis)is a big challenge, as I would be more suited to live games, camraderie wise, etc.

Any thoughts?

Check out www.thespark.com/person

Fun, accurate test. Send it to your friends from the link on the site, and see their personality types too. The descriptions are usually remarkably accurate.

Thanks Mel,

I've taken that one, and just about every other one I've ever found on the net. Did I mention I'm narcissistic?

Seriously, tho, I was guessing that ISTJ would be the most predisposed to be good poker players.

I'm an ENTP. A couple years ago I used to be ESTJ. I am not sure if there is any correlation between the personality changes and changes to my poker skills, but I would not be shocked to find that to be true.

I used to be a little S H I T , after puberty I became a F U C K , now in menopause I'm a C R A B. I expect that just prior to my death I will be a F A R T and after my death will be considered to have been an old C O O T.

I agree with you - being a long time trainer who started out high in the reflective end of things and had almost no activist in me. After training many many people of all learning types and having to be able to relate to them, I am now in the middle of all four learning style quadrants.

As for this thread, playing poker and seeing the results of those decisions has made me less sympathetic an more empathetic to peoples plights. I think I know where I am, but not having taken either test in years, it would only be my perception.
