Default HU at Full Table vs Short-Stack

Am I missing anything here? I thought about this hand a lot as it was going on, and I think my flop bet was a good one. Enough to get him to fold pretty much all but a king, but not so much that if he reraises all-in that I have to call, correct? Or is there adjustment needed?

I told myself that unless I flopped a 7, that the flop bet would be the last of my chips to go in and while breaking that declaration has gotten me into trouble often in the past, I feel like I avoided catastrophe in this case.

Only read on Villain is from earlier hand where he was relatively shortstacked and raised 3xbb preflop with myself and another limper already in. Flop was checked down on a board ripe for a steal, and so I proceeded to steal it on the turn without resistance from him.

Oh, and I think the worst part of this play is easily my call preflop. The table had been relatively loose and I was expecting a call behind me.

Default Re: HU at Full Table vs Short-Stack

if you only plan to play a flop if you flop a set you need to fold preflop. this guy is too shortstacked for the implied odds you need to call to flop a set.

i would probably muck preflop. calling isn't bad though, if the flop is good (you flop an overpair, straight draw, basically no face cards) you can play it aggressive.

the player is UTG and has a good hand. the only hands you're probably folding here is AQ/AJ. i think he's too short to find a muck w/ JJ/QQ.. I fold.
