6 Team league on yahoo

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Defense

All TDs are 6 points
10 yards rushing = 1 point
50 yards passing = 1 point
9 yards receiving = 1 point
Defenses earn 1 point for sack, 2 for fumbles/ints/safety. They also earn more points for the lower the score. A shutout is worth 10

QBs D. Culpepper (Tampa) Trent Green (Jets)
RBs Tomlinson (Dallas) McGahee (Houston) Julius Jones(San Diego) Kevin Jones (GB)
WRs Horn (Carolina)Mi. Clayton (Minnesota)N. Burleson (Tampa) P. Price (San Diego) Coles (Chiefs) Andre Johnson (Buffalo)
TEs Witten (San Diego) Da. Clark (Ravens
Kickers Elam (Miami)
Defense Pittsburgh (Tenn) New York Jets (Kansas City

6 Teams? Why bother? Seriously, this and every other lineup in your league is stacked. Just throw darts -- that's the best way of picking a lineup in this type of league. You can't go wrong. Culpepper, Tomlinson, McGahee, J. Jones, Kevin Jones, and Joe Horn???

Thoughts please:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 K
1 pt. for every 10 yards rush/recieving and 25 yards passing
3 pt. for TD scored
2 pt. for TD passed for

QB: Kerry Collins
Aaron Brooks

RB: L. Tomlinson Kevin Jones

WR: T. Holt Joe Horn

Flex:
D. Foster
Ronnie Brown
T. Williamson
Bray Edwards

TE: M. Pollard (I have Gates, but he's not playing)

D: Eagles

K: Nugent

So I'm mainly looking for differing ideas on QB -- why wouldn't I start Collins? And which of the young backs, Foster or Brown, would you make the flex player?

Thanks for your help.

I think you start Collins, because I don't see the matchup for Brooks as being significantly more attractive.

While I don't expect much this week, at least you know that Brown is going to get the carries for his team. Though I fully expect Foster to be the primary carrier, there is competition and I'd prefer to wait and see how things shake out in the Carolina backfield before starting one.

Default Quick one

Anyone have thoughts on Barlow vs. Willie Parker in Week 1? It's not a situation I'm particularly excited to be in, but I'm in it.

And death is not an option? I guess Parker -- stay away from Barlow.

It's a 14-keeper league with complex rules and large rosters with little roster turnover. Barlow was obviously a huge disappointment for me last year and I'm stuck with him again this year until Tatum Bell takes over for Mike Anderson (trying to work a trade for Anderson).

What's the word on Barlow this year? Is he the starter, at least...is there any sort of chance he'll produce?

Barlow I believe is starting for now, and sounds kinda pissed off. I actually think he can have a decent game vs. the Rams.

Standard Yahoo league:

QB: T. Green vs NYJ - permastarter
QB: J. Plummer

WR: A. Boldin @ NYG - permastarter
WR: Mi. Clayton @ MIN - permastarter
WR: A. Lelie @ MIA
WR: C. Rogers vs GB
WR: A. Randle El vs TEN

The only possible question here is my third receiver. Rogers is coming off a slight injury and missed time in the pre-season, but he's a huge talent and he's playing Green Bay.

RB: S. Alexander @ JAX - permastarter
RB: A. Green @ DET - permastarter
RB: K. Barlow vs STL

TE: A. Crumpler vs PHI - permastarter
TE: F. Jones vs NO

K: S. Graham @ CLE
K: J. Scobee vs SEA

D: Tampa Bay @ MIN

Yeah, I like Rogers @GB (actually it's home vs. GB isn't it?)
Lelie might be good this year, but I don't trust Plummer on the road against a decent defense.
