Default trying to read archives

I've been trying to read archives of posts that are more than a few months old but less than several years old. I have not yet been successful. For example, if I go to the recent archives and search a user name, and then try to read all of that user's posts, it only shows 200 total.

HOw might I do this - Find posts over six months old but less than 2 or 3 years old?
Thanks

You have tried Older Archives? It's under Other Other Topics in the forums listings (on the left hand side of your screen). There is some great stuff there.

What I do is go to the old archives, then go to the mid/high forum (not the search page), and then list all the posts (there are about 1100 pages). I then sift through every post and read the interesting ones.

Enter in the "Older than " field 6 months
Enter in the "Newer than" field 1 year

Repeat the process to get six months intervals.

Read all the threads started by Ulysses or El Diablo. There are a lot of great ones in the archives. It's not a myth, he did actually once post interesting stuff.
