Default Alarm Clock -- Snooze Question.

When I hit snooze on my alarm clock, it re-alarms in 9 minutes. Is this standard across alarm clocks? I asked someone else, and theirs is 9 minutes as well. Anyone have a longer/shorter/adjustable snooze time?

Mine is 9 also. I have never seen an adjustable one. I wonder why they chose 9 minutes.

I am now going to hijack your thread: Does anybody set their alarm early just so they can hit snooze a few times? I don't have to get up at a certain time, since I work from home now, but I used to always do that.

When I have an early class, I will set my alarm early so I snooze for at least an hour. If I don't, I just turn it off and go back to sleep, or keep snoozing through my class.

Occasionally I'll jam the buttons on my alarm and change the time. One time I set my alarm 1hr30mins before I actually wanted to get up and when I went to snooze it, I changed the time 2 hours ahead. I woke up and I was incredibly late, so late that I didn't go to class. Turns out I woulda been early had I gone.

Yeah, I always make sure I buy alarms with big snooze buttons. Okay, this may be the worst thread ever. I just want to know why 9 minutes is standard and I will never have to look at it again.

Man, that is the kind of thing that will make you look so smart. If Matt Damon would have pulled that crap instead of the Gordon Wood routine he would have popped Driver and her friend that night.

Baumer,

Cool link. I wondered about the 9 minute thing too.
