Default The Death of a Good Friend

coltrane just called me from Lucky Chances. Effective today, bets larger than $200 are barred in Colma due to action of law. The $20-40 no-cap nl game (previously $10-10-20, $40 to go) is now a $20-40 blind $40-200 spread-limit game.

High stakes no limit is dead. Long live high stakes no limit.

For what it's worth, I just talked to someone in the top section and she said that they expect to have things back to normal by next week.

Wow, that's horrible. I remember reading in the Chronicle that they were trying to get this law passed, but it didn't sound like it would. Hopefully it gets overturned quickly - I was hoping to play in it in the next month.

wow, my friend is going to be devistated.. he loves that place's 2/3/5 NL game. And he loves the fact he can make large bets (like pushing all in with a 1600$ stack).. its gonna really screw up that game..
