Default Which Book Would You Choose?

I just got enough Absolute Reward points to get something from their store (it sucks BTW). They have 2 books. Poker Aces by Ron Rose and Internet Texas Holdem by Matthew Hilger.

I thought Hilgers book was a good read.

Primarily because, although I thought it was good. There were a few things to disagree with.

Particularly in the hand examples. Identifying, some of the things I disagreed with and why, helped to think about the game more, and gave me ideas for hand posts.

Not saying the book is bad, just that it was educational in a different way.

I haven't read Mr. Rose's book but I have read Mr. Hilger's a few times. I found it very informative earlier in my career. I don't plan on reading Mr. Rose's book... at least not any time soon.

Yes, if you want a book on poker strategy, it's not even a contest.

If you want a book that teaches you about the backgrounds and styles of most of the famous poker players, it's also not even a contest. Get Ron's. Just know that it won't teach you much about how to play poker.
