Maybe boring Bellagio 30 hand

Decent game, I'm up a good amount and I have a good image. MP raises, he's a slightly too loose and decently aggressive player, not very good at hand reading but mixes up his play well.

I look at black KK next to act and 3bet, youngish lady immediately to my left 4bets. She seems like a weak-tight regular although I've never seen her before. Earlier I opened on the button, she 3bet from SB, I capped. She check called the flop and check folded the turn on a QJ9 board.

So folded around to MP who calls, I 5 bet, they both call.

Flop is Q52 rainbow. Check, I bet, lady raises, MP calls two cold, I call and plan on check/folding the turn if I don't improve. Yes?

well, I doubt she is 4betting AQ. 6 combos of AA, 1 combo of KK. 11BBs in the pot, gonna cost you 2 more to see the showdown which should have about 2 more BBs from others. So, 2/13 = 1/6.5. But, you'd be calling down to a split pot. Meaing you need 1/12. Then, of course, we have the QQ possibility. Yeah, you can dump the turn UI.

If she's really weak tight, then yeah. I think she shows you AA or QQ here when she raises the flop, because weak tight players dont play AK or JJ like that, ever.

I'd prolly get stubborn and get into a raising war though....

Call down until you get a better read, especially with MP's dead money going into the pot.

i agree with the turn fold. cant see calling this one down at all.

Can you see any other way of playing the flop?

no i wouldnt play the flop any other way. i think you need to bet this to find out where the lady stands. if you check it you wont know where she is if she bets. she might still have JJ or AK. after she raises your flop bet you know you almost certainly cant win. i really cant trust cc cf on this board without letting her raise me somewhere. a better live player than me might feel differently.
