Getting paid off in this common situation
This situation has happened to me quite a few times and it's almost always frustrating and difficult for me. I'll be the button or LP in a multi-handed pot. I'll flop a monster hand like a set on a draw-heavy board. Everyone will check to the player on my right who, probably having the draw, will bet a small amount like $1 into a $5 pot. When I raise, everyone will usually fold, but I usually would get 1 or 2 callers if I were the first to bet. The reraise seems to terrify people who would normally have called a pot or 3/4 pot bet. What do I do here, give them correct drawing odds and hope they miss or I get a full house? Raise to only $2 or $3? Just continue to deny them odds and hope to get paid off enough those rare times I do get called?

I think you know the answer to this.
Which do you think is right, giving them correct odds to draw, or giving them incorrect odds to draw? If you give them the right odds, they aren't making a mistake and you are....if you give them bad odds and they call anyway, they are making a mistake and you aren't...which do you think is right? It sucks when you flop a set or straight and everyone folds, but that happens sometimes....that's poker.

re-raise is right.
Take your fast play and fold equity. Just remember with pockets to try to call preflop mostly against deep stacks and people who can't let go of top pair / overpairs when your set hits. They seem to be most profitable: (a) with 2 mid-deep stacks after a large preflop raise (big pockets) (b) when a paired board gives you your boat vs. Ax for the set
