I thought about seeing this because I loved the show, but I really don't see how this movie could do anything but suck.

the fact that they picked a blonde and flat-chested actress to play the lead character was probably the first sign of trouble.

or maybe an equilibrium ripoff, cant tell.

isn't equilibrium a giant ripoff in it's own right?
not to say it's that bad, but seriously i think gun kung fu was the only semi-original feature.

aeon flux will fail as a feature film

Agreed, this role seems perfectly suited for someone like Angelina Jolie. Basically take her look from Tomb Raider, put her in some skimpy latex underwear and there you go.

However, I did listen to a review of the movie on the radio this morning, and the guy (no idea who he was) gave the movie 3/5, so I'm holding out a little bit of hope it might be somewhat entertaining at least when out on video.

Sounds like

Catwoman (Halle Berry) = Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron)

i thought the same thing when i heard they were making an Aeon Flux movie ... unfortunately, the people behind the Tomb Raider movies f'd them up so badly that I'm sure Angelina wouldn't dream of playing another role like that again.

is it really THAT hard to write a decent action movie script?
