after realizing i was completely terrible, i did some reading up on the game.

during the match dynasty was complaining about "collusion" and claimed it was not in good form.

i come to find in my reading that smaller armies banding together is part of the game, and open diplomacy is a major factor of the game.

as if you needed that other edge to dominate some risk-virgins. shrewd.

I wasn't complaining about collusion. Somebody asked if collusion is okay and I said it was discouraged- especially in a game with newbies.

I think the specific word "collusion" came across differently than you intended. That suggested two or more players choosing to work together regardless of all other factors until all the others were eliminated.

Diplomacy and alliances are good. Collusion is bad.

I'll probably be playing again tonight.

Dynasty,

It has been about 14 years since the last time I played Risk, but it used to be a favorite game of mine. I would enjoy playing and hopefully I'll be around when you get the next game started.

Also, I hope you have a chance to look at my Quick Reply thread for some information on how to optimally use this awesome new feature.

Good gaming,
El Diablo

I was all about it at first. But quick reply sucks and ruins expanded mode.

El Diablo,

I'd be honored to have you play tonight. You going to be around in a few hours?

(I have read your QR thread for optimal use).

JBB: QR only ruins threaded view, which only dolts use anyway.

TC: I am likely to be around in a few hours! If I'm free then I'd love to join. I will check back in a couple of hours after I'm finished at work.

Excitedly,
El Diablo
