i shall inquire about a cocktail/banquet room. i also think i can get permission for us to spread some cards during this if we are low key.

2-4 or 5-10 NL?

i called my dude and got a voicemail. i told him i would like it for the night before the main event starts. 3p-11p.

i don't expect a return call until monday since the nature of my call was NOT me going up to drop money in the $5 slots.

i'll let you guys know as soon as i hear. if we spread a game in the room, we can have it running the whole time. we will take $2 max on pots over $50 until the room/food/drinks are covered, then rake free.

PLEASE people, no rakeback requests for this ultra-exclusive game.

Doh. Well, I could probably swing down Thursday evening and take off work on Friday if this goes down.

Just to let you know, there is absolutely ZERO chance that they will give you permission to spread a private game off the casino floor, no matter how low key. You will have to keep it out of their attention, or you will be told no, or to stop, depending upon the timing.

Trust me on this one, if you ask, the answer is no. 100% of the time. If you don't ask, you will get away with it until it comes to the attention of the wrong employee, and then you will be asked/told to stop. If you want to play a private game, you need to do it in a private room of some sort, a suite or some such.

Good luck.
