Nice, looking back you could have 3 bet the flop, but at the time i like the call. Sounds like UTG had JJ, maybe he overplayed AK or had QQ and played weak preflop. Care to tell results on this one, im just curious [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

At 5/10, you gotta give me reads here. If he's not insane postflop I checkraise the river and call a 3-bet. The problem is, like CDC has said before, once you get 3-bet on the river you're almost never winning -- you've got to pray it's JJ or a semi-retarded QQ.

Overall, on the hand. I think a turn checkraise is an action killer against all but the least sane opponents. You'll get action from AhTh, QQ and JJ, and you'll kill action from AK and QJs pretty quickly.

I'd probably bet/3-bet/call a cap, and checkraise the river, calling a 3-bet.

But yeah, on this one, I think you were doomed to lose as much as you did.
