Default 88 and overbet on flop

The overbet on the flop looked suspicious to me. I decided to reraise and fold if he put me all-in, which is unfortunately what happened:

180 SnG. Villian hasn't done much to this point.

Did you have any kind of reads on this guy. Sometimes I see guys bet the hand they have if that makes sense. They only bet a little if the have a weak hand and a lot a strong and they are kinda weak tight. I dont know if that was him. I dont like putting so much of your stack in and then folding. Since you have position on him, raise him back preflop and if he pushes over the top of you then you can lay it down. This is a tough spot I think.

i would fold the flop to the overbet. it's going to be a win small/lose big spot, and a 6 outs for him / 2 outs for you. you'd fold if the flop was 943, right? well he doesn't have a 9 anyway, so fold.

if he makes a normal size bet, i do bet or raise though.
