I think this is pretty standard
One from a very short HU session -- the guy left after about 20 hands. We haven't had too much aggression in the match yet.
He's the SB/Button. He limps. He hasn't done this much -- he's been folding his SB a fair amount, folding it occasionally, has maybe limped it once. He limps, I raise Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], he calls. Flop Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet, he raises, I 3-bet, he calls. Turn is the 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I bet, he calls. River is the 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I bet, he raises, I call. |

Re: I think this is pretty standard
Hi Rob,
I think that you played this hand fine. An alternative line that I take sometimes HU is to call his flop raise and then raise any turn. Problem here is that you're not sure that he's betting the turn. But whatever. Best Regards, John |

Re: I think this is pretty standard
It might be standard, but I suck HU, so I would check/call the river. You're not pushing him off a straight and you give him a chance to bluff if he doesn't have it. Getting raised sucks.

Re: I think this is pretty standard
You could 3bet for value here. I don't know though, I don't think he has 2 pair way more often than a straight, so it could be close.
Everything else looks good to me. |

Re: I think this is pretty standard
As someone already said, I might have just called the flop bet, with plans to raise the turn. But I actually think I resort to this line way too often and that your line might be better.
