AJ clubs from the big blind
local 4/8 game, and its good as usual. im in the bb with AJclubs i think 8/10 players see the flop in this hand, with a raise from mp1(seems competent, maybe slightly passive) i think the sb folded so i am first to act
flop is A57 one club i bet everyone calls (checkraise?) turn is the 3 of club i bet utg calls utg1calls everyone else folds river is another Ace i bet utg folds utg1(loose and aggressive) raises i call all comments welcomed and appreciated very much |

Re: AJ clubs from the big blind
Seems utterly standard. Nice hand.
You want to lead the flop because you don't know at that point that you have the best hand. Your MP1 raiser might have you outkicked or even be holding the case aces, so it's generally better to lead out & see what he does than to go for a c/r on the flop. And the pot is so big at that point that you aren't folding anyone for 2 bets that would've called 1. |

Re: AJ clubs from the big blind
I'd 3 bet the river. UTG+1 would have raised pf w/a better ace. My guess is that you have him outkicked. Other than that, I play the hand the same way

Re: AJ clubs from the big blind
Depending on your read of UTG+1, the river should probably be a 3bet.

Re: AJ clubs from the big blind
Agree that a river 3-bet would be good. You have him outkicked and you would've heard from 2-pair or a low set before now.
