Default AA on River w/ trips on board

10/20 5 handed. On Euro while waiting for roll to appear from somewhere in outer space I suppose.

I only have 100 hands on villain. He's 48/18/1.6 Have been at table 1 orbit and seen him get a bit out of line once, and play another hand really strong that didn't get shown down.

Button open limps, SB folds, I raise w/ AA

Flop 8Q2r

bet, Call

turn, 8 (8Q2)

bet, raise, I call

River, 8 8 (8Q2)

I check intending to raise. You like?

Thanks, PT

I'd just bet out here. He will raise with his Q, and you can 3bet him.

I think you are correct here. On the turn I was a bit worried that he had an 8 so I just wanted to get to SD. It seems like when I go > 3 bets on turn w/ AA unimproved, I am taking the worse of it too often. When the 8 dropped, I was thinking about getting the most money in the pot and took the suboptimal route...

untill he 3-bet my check raise...

w/ J8o--I just called--But results aside, since 4 bets is cap, should I have capped?

Thanks for remarks, PT

Unless you have a read otherwise do not cap this. Most queens are just calling the c/r.

So when he caps the turn are you still going 4 bets on the river? This seems like spewing.

I think he meant that he should have three-bet the turn and given that he didn't, he should cap the river.
