Final Pot:

My thought is that passive of an opponent had to hit his hand to bet out. Somehow, I think it's to weak to just fold. I think this is a lesson on how to royally screw up and leak chips.

These two thoughts are contradictory.

No, it's just a lesson on having the confidence to back your judgement. Anyway, I think this fold depends on whether the villain is the "check-good-hands-bet-out-bad-hands" type or whether he's super honest and has a 5.

Over how many hands? 0.34 AF with 65 vpip is passive, but not that passive. Any real reads?

I call this donkbet.

Ok, the AF says his relations between bet/raises:call is 1:3. With a vpip of 65% that's not very passive unless he folds alot.

I would call this acting from the stats. Your "real" read seems pretty vague so I can't judge whether or not it's strong enough to justify a fold (I think not).

EDIT: plus, this is a strange bet coming from a strange player...

by no means is this spewing. i find pocket pairs and pure bluffs enough to make calling down profitable, but you have to take note of these times 'cause stats only go so far.

i had a guy yesterday who didn't bluff and donkbet ONLY when he was representing exactly what the board showed, so i could fold no problem. but i called another down with A-high because my read said i could.

I wouldn't fold this. I would take into consideration his AF and just call down like you did. I find when I see this it's very often weak aces or middle strength pocket pairs and the villian isn't really sure how to play it, so just donks into you on the turn or river.
