Poker Grub
Has anyone ever read his blog? It depresses me.
I remember stumbling upon it about a year and a half ago, a little while before he made the move to Vegas and different things I'd read made me believe that there was no way he could do it professionally. He's an interesting enough writer, but I was wondering if anyone ever read his blog once in a while to at least be thankful you aren't him. Poker Grub Blog |

Re: Poker Grub
Wow, that is depressing. To me I get the feeling he is a nice, naive, innocent person, and it looks like he just couldn't hack it as a poker player, slowly but surely going broke.

Re: Poker Grub
in theory, this could be construed as depressing -
but people who continue to relish their delusion at being a winning poker player when they clearly are not is even more depressing - at least he has his eyes on something else - they say 10% of the people actually make a living playing poker - and 45% of the rest believe they're winning when they're not and the other 45% believe they could be winning players if they just quit their jobs or if they weren't playing their online site which they "know" is rigged - Honesty about one's shortcomings is part of the reason I have a few readers - so I don't mind seeing it in other blogs - I'm so [censored] sick and tired of reading $6 to $60K in 60 days sort of stuff. God, that's horrible. I'm rooting for him though.

Re: Poker Grub
Yup, only reason I've been coming back to it here and there. He seems like a generally nice guy, wants to be a screenwriter, which is what makes it depressing to me. Otherwise I'd just laugh, cause I'm like that.
