Default ($109) AK ITM

Not a very aggressive itm. Calls had been pretty infrequent.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t500 (3 handed) wacki's version of bison

Button (t5906)
SB (t2770)
Hero (t1324)

Button shoves, Sb calls, Hero starts thinking about Vegas and the [censored] Mirage...

Hero happily calls here!

PS: I've been in this spot a few times before, with blinds this big.

If you assume that they have equal hands...

You have 27.9% equity if you fold. You will have 36.5% equity on average if you call and win.

So here you need to win 48% of the time to make this call.

If you assume that the SB is a 57/43 favorite...

You will have 27.0% equity if you fold. You will have 36.1% if you call and win.

You will have to win ~45% of the time.

AKo has about 48% equity against 2 random hands. This looks like a clear fold to me.

Edit - Whoops sorry I meant to say the SB is the favorite and not the button.

jesus why would you consider the button to be a favorite over the SB here. The SB is likely a signifigant favorite to call an allin while a shortstack is still around. I don't trust the above math at all.

Why do I feel like I've seen this play before? Very deja vu.

And yes, I call in a flash. SB's range is far stronger than button's range. Take the chance to triple up here.
