Default EV of Personal Pokersite Blacklist

I presently have two. Both are in the top 5.

Here's the dilemma: If anything, there is going to be more and more behaviour of the sort that earned these two the dubious honor of pissing me off so much I never play there again.

Pros:
- I play on smaller poker sites. These contain less multitabling grinders of the species that squat on a level like 3/6 and wreck it.
- I play on fewer poker sites. This allows me to concentrate my bankroll instead of spreading it around. This allows me to play higher levels.
- I become familiar with the poker landscape and will be able to determine where the best games are on what days and what times.
- Get to participate in a wider range of promos.
- I get more and more affiliates.
- Smaller poker sites could mean finding little known fish pools.

Cons:
- I play on smaller sites: This could mean fewer fish.
- I play on smaller sites: This could up the risk of losing a portion of my bankroll because one of them decides to close up shop.
- If the sites are incompatable with Pokertracker, I loose the ability to keep stats. May have to purchase additional tracking software if they are compatable with that.
- I get more and more affiliates.

Alternatively, I could focus intently on developing a relationship with Pokerstars and switch from ring games to SNG's and Tournaments.

Thoughts/Discussions/Feedback?

Thanks

Anyone else totally confused by this post? The Title and first paragraph do not seem related to the pros cons sections.

I'll add a "What the hell?" here as well!

Also, how can getting more and more affiliates be a pro and a con?

Like everyone else, I didn't get what you were trying to say. However, this is very clearly wrong. Do you see why?

I believe he is saying he is mad at UB and probably Party and won't play there anymore. He is afraid that sometime soon he will be mad at everyone worth mentioning and won't be able to play anyplace. He wants to know if that's a problem .

Holding grudges is -EV. Allowing anger to control site selection is a strategic form of tilt. I'm really upset about PokerShare too, but objective analysis of my personal situation is that UB is still a good deal for me. My PokerShare account is a lost pot and I need to move on.

I think you hit the nail on the head, StellarWind.

Not really sure what I was trying to accomplish here and kind of confused and muddled my own thoughts as I was writing. But I think you got the jist. Clearly, basing my reactions to the coming bloodbaths based solely on economic interests and making things about business is the best strategy. And you are right about this being like tilt. Somehow, it feels very close. If I hadn't thrown a fit, I prolly would have got to keep my Pokershare bonus dollars for moving to UB.

As the French say right before they surrender to angry gangs of young Muslims, "C'est La Vive."

You are obviously a very good reader of people. You should be good at poker.

Thanks.

If I had to guess, I'd say he either currently or at some point worked in an office where he would have to figure out what the hell people were trying to say because they couldn't write something clear. I'm thinking probably engineering/science field?
