hero folds flop as he is way behind 99.9% of SB's 3-betting range

First off, I dont' see how this is WA/WB, because I don't think you're ever way ahead. Even if he's betting a whiffed KQ he's got outs. You could possibly peel one off on the flop. If you don't improve on the turn, I think it's an easy fold.

Two 8's left in deck 2 outs
ok, Backdoor str8 draw, 1.5 outs
Backdoor flush draw 1.5 outs, discounted to .5 outs for one card, the 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. (would give me Open ended str8 flush draw)
So 4 outs?
I need 10.75 to 1, and i'm getting that?

Plus implied odds. Which is why I'd advocate a peel on the flop. Plus if SB is full of it you could get a free look at the river.

That may be true if your heads up with the SB, but you got a caller in between - that caller makes this an easy fold on the flop. IMHO.

To me this is a raise or fold situation. A raise may gain you control of the hand, if they are inclined to check to you on the turn. Plus, its not fun to fold 10BB to one bet.

How much fun would it be to be 3-bet on this flop? Or, since SB is decent postflop, to be called and then c/r'd on the turn?

You're thin on the flop, but probably have enough to call, especially as you should be able to make up a big bet or two if you catch your 8 on the turn.

The flop call is very thin, but doable with the pot starting to get big and you closing the action. Fold the turn if you don't pick up a set or a strong draw as you are way behind most 3betting hands.

What if the turn is checked to hero? I'm thinking of not putting in another dime UI turn and river, one way or the other.

Who cares about the caller? Sure, he may have you beat, but the SB could too. The SB may shutdown KK and lower pairs, and the calling station might have crap, or he might have a weak ace he doesn't bet. If anything I like having him in the pot to pad it if the hero can connect with one of his re-draws.
