Default middle pairs preflop

ive been getting burned playing middle pairs 66-99. Its a leak. I find myself in positions where calling with these hands leaves me pot committed (let's say 35% in the pot, and i end up jamming. Id say, i bust out of tourneys in this situation fairly often. The majority of the time its in tourneys with huge fields and thus the tables break so fast that its difficult to get reads.
So, with no read, do you guys prefer jamming or stop n go. Which gives more fold equity?

Depends on the situation. If the raise is for 1/3 of my stack, I might fold. If it is a late position raise from a loose raiser, then push or stop and go. I would generally fold to an early position raiser.

If the raise was for 1/5 of my stack, I would usually push on a resteal. Ideally, to make this play, I want the raiser and me to both be in as late preflop position a possible.
