Re: A Question For Dr. Al (and anyone else who cares)
I listen to several types of music when I multi table. I don't think it affects my play, but I deal in a casino and I am used to making mathematical calculations quickly in a very noisy environment. As there are people that don't deal well once the are in the casino environment even though they sis well in a quiet class room environment, I am sure there are people that play better both ways. I quess you just have to determine which one you are.

Re: A Question For Dr. Al (and anyone else who cares)
Personally, and I know I'm not the only one, but I funtion better mentally when there is noise in the background. Tv, talking, music, whatever it may be, but it helps me carry my thoughts along. I think the best of the pick would be music, and I think the advice above to experiment with different types is essential. I personally like music that 'is already a part of me' in that I don't have to think about the song, it's just there, and I can concentrate elsewhere. Hope this helps.
