My honest opinion is that you just might be partially retarded. She won the WOMEN'S EVENT! How is her winning it this year any different than the Asian woman, (Doan I believe) winning it last year?

[/ QUOTE ]

Why exactly is misogyny so acceptable here? So this can never be noteworthy because the winner is ALWAYS a woman?

Grow up.

I wonder if this win will cement poker more firmly as a *fad* in new or non-player's heads.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, and that's good for poker in the short and long run.

We need someone like Ben Affleck or Toby Maguire to win one.

[/ QUOTE ]

But Affleck is considered a pretty smart guy...Tilly usually plays a dumb character (no idea if she is smart or not)...think of all the dumb people who will want to play.

On 2nd thought, dumb people will play anyway.

I haven't read all the responses, but here's the money quote:

"I'm hooked on poker. I'm not going to stop playing until I lose all my ex-husband Sam Simon's "Simpsons" money." -- Jennifer Tilly

Yeah, I'd said she's good for poker!

[/ QUOTE ]

Fixed her quote.
