Default Straight flush!!!

Party Poker 15/30 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG folds, MP folds, Button folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls.

River: (9 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13 BB

On the end he took some time before raising. He might have been considering whether or not to raise. Or he might have been taking some time before raising, to make me believe he had something to think about.

I think its an easy 3-bet on the river, unless you think he's tricky and wouldn't cap you on the turn with the nuts.

(Note, I don't play limit )

5-handed table and heads-up on the flop, he could be raising/trapping with all kinds of things besides the Js. I say 3bet the river.

Shame on you for not 3-betting the river. Its a clear value bet.

Well, seems he's got either A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] so that makes it a 50:50 proposition. In one case you probably only win one more bet by 3-betting, in the other you lose 2 more bets, so this doesn't seem like a value raise to me.

There's only one card in the deck that can beat you and you can't find a raise on the river?

You win the weak award for the day.

Strictly speaking, that's not necessarily 50-50 . You are assuming he is equally likely to hold either of those cards, but that doesn't have to be the case because he probably wold have called the raise preflop with more hands containing an ace than containing a jack (his postflop play is fairly consistent with either card being in his hand).

I think he'd cap the turn with the J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], especially since you're obviously not folding. 3-bet the river.

If I have a straight flush I am capping on the river no matter what . If he has a Jack [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] then so be it. There are principalities involved here, man.

Principalities.

On Tuesday I had a 10/20 hand, where the flop was Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

A lot of action on the flop.

K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] hit on the turn.

My opponent held A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He called me down after I three-bet the turn.

Do you feel that was a weak play?
